What is polyurethane paint used for on wood?

Polyurethane paint provides a tough, durable, and protective coating that resists scratches, water, chemicals, and UV damage, making it ideal for wood surfaces like cabinets, furniture, trim, and floors. At Ultrimax we have a range of polyurethane paints, which can also be tinted using our
Colormax technology.

How many coats are required and how should polyurethane paint be applied?

Usually 2–3 coats for optimal coverage and durability. Sand lightly between coats if needed. HVLP spray for a smooth, professional finish, for small areas a brush or roller can be used. Always read and follow the datasheets prior to application.

Is polyurethane paint toxic?
